Frequently Asked Questions

Is there an age or body type requirement?

All participants must be 18 years of age or older to attend classes, private lessons, studio rentals, or events.

There is no body type requirement to participate. Pole fitness is for everyone, and students of all shapes, sizes, and fitness levels are welcome.

Do I need a dance or fitness background to take class?

No. Our beginner classes are designed for individuals with no prior dance or fitness experience. Many of our students start their pole journey as complete beginners.

Do I need to be strong or flexible before starting?

No. Strength and flexibility develop gradually as you continue training. Pole fitness builds strength, coordination, and flexibility over time.

What class should I start with?

If you are new to pole, we recommend starting with Level 0: Intro to Pole. This class introduces the basic movements and techniques used in pole dance.

What if I can't do the moves?

Pole fitness is a skill that develops over time. Your instructor will provide modifications and progressions so you can work at your own level. Everyone progresses differently and there is no expectation to master everything in your first class.

What kind of vibe is Doll House Pole Fitness?

Doll House Pole Fitness is a welcoming, supportive, and empowering environment where students can explore movement, build confidence, and express themselves freely. Our studio focuses on creating a non-judgmental and encouraging community for everyone.

Can I try one class before committing to a membership?

Yes. You are welcome to purchase a single class before committing to a package or membership so you can experience the studio and see if it’s the right fit for you.

I am coming from another studio. Where should I start?

Students coming from other studios may be placed in a class based on their current skill level. Instructor approval may be required to ensure you are placed in the appropriate level for safety and progression.

What should I wear to class?

We recommend wearing a t-shirt or tank top, sports bra, and shorts. Skin contact helps you grip the pole safely during certain movements.

Bare feet are recommended for beginners. Pole heels are optional for classes that incorporate them.

What should I bring to class?

Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated and a small towel if you tend to sweat.

Please remember to remove all rings and bracelets, and avoid applying lotions or oils before class, as they can make the poles slippery and unsafe to grip.

Do I need to register in advance?

Yes. All classes must be reserved in advance through our online booking system. We do not accept walk-ins.

What happens if I arrive late?

Students arriving more than 6 minutes after the start of class may not be admitted for safety reasons.

What is your cancellation policy?

We have a 5-hour cancellation policy. If you need to cancel a class, you must do so through your online account at least 5 hours before the scheduled class time.

Late cancellations and no-shows may incur fees.

How does the waitlist work?

If a class is full, you may add yourself to the waitlist through our booking system.

If a spot becomes available, you will automatically be added to the class and notified. Standard cancellation policies apply once you are moved from the waitlist into the class.

Can I transfer or share my membership with someone else?

No. Class credits, memberships, and packages are non-transferable and may not be shared.

Can I observe a class?

To maintain a comfortable and focused learning environment, spectators are not permitted during regular classes.

Do you offer private lessons?

Yes. Private lessons are available for individuals or small groups who want personalized instruction or one-on-one training.

Do you host parties?

Yes! We offer pole dance parties for birthdays, bachelorette parties, girls’ nights, and other celebrations. No experience is required, and our instructors make the experience fun and beginner-friendly.
