What to expect from your first class:
We're excited that you've decided to try out a class. You won't regret it! We believe that everyone is capable of rocking our classes- no dance or fitness experience required. As long as you can hold the pole, you can pole dance. That's not to say that it's easy, your first class will likely feel challenging at times, but we encourage you to stick with it. Try your hardest and let loose and feel free to ask your instructor plenty of questions after class if you weren't clear on any of the moves. At Doll House, we believe that exercise should be fun!

Where to Start
Intro to Pole Dancing Fitness: 50 Minutes
This class is for those who are new to pole dancing. In the first 30 minutes of this class you will learn the essentials of pole dance technique. From walking around the pole, transitions, to basic spins and floor work, you will walk away with all you need to join our beginner level classes. This class is recommended but not mandatory before attending regular pole classes. This is a barefoot class.
Beginner Pole Dance
Learn how to strut and work the pole with some basic moves and spins. Not only will you have a great time but you will get an amazing full body work out. The main focus of the Beginner class is having fun and building self-confidence.
If you're not quite ready to jump into a regular class, want one on one instruction to learn a few new skills for a special occasion or are a dancer that is looking for extra training, we offer private lessons in pole dancing, lyra, and flexibility. Semi-privates and group privates are also available.
What to Wear
Beginners do not need as much skin to grip the pole. If you are just starting out, yoga pants and a tank top will work great. When you start climbing and going upside down you may want to switch to shorts and a tank or a sports bra. Exposing more skin makes it easier to stick to the pole. Heels are encouraged but not mandatory.
- Do not apply lotions or oils before attending pole classes as it will make hands and legs slippery and unable to grip the pole. Please do not wear jewelry (especially rings) to pole class for they will damage the poles and the jewelry itself.
- Bring an open mind and sense of humor! Don't expect to master the equipment on your first try.
- Doors typically open 15 minutes before class. Please arrive 5 minutes before class to allow time to sign the liability waiver and get situated before your class starts.
